Awarded ‘Runner-Up’ in the Secret Art Prize 2019

On 4th September I was awarded Runner-Up in the Secret Art Prize 2019! Thank you to all of the judges for your votes and all Curious Duke Gallery for organising the competition!
.
The award was for a print called “Hot Cookie” which is the first in a new collection I have been working on. Featuring original photography from in and around Yerba Buena in San Francisco. I wanted to create a landscape of a city in transition. I captured some of the shopfronts, buildings and signs that add character to an urban neighbourhood. An area of SF that is in constant flux straddling both the well-to-do and the less fortunate, the skyscrapers and the convenience stores. The SF-Oakland Bay Bridge dominates, a pathway from the past to the future.
.
The print is made up from original photography, which is over-painted and collages together, giclée printing, screen printing and hand finished spray paint.

Brand New Collection Released – In The Fade

The brand new In the Fade collection has been released and all prints are available for sale.

An unexpected ending. Now nothing is familiar. You are nowhere. You are no one. You are In The Fade. Snapshots of false architectures, pivotal journey’s, expansive living, exploration, isolation but with the hope of a new beginning.

Featuring original photography from San Francisco, Las Vegas, London, Portugal, Cornwall, New York, Florida, Mexico, Amsterdam, Spain, Cuba, and other places I can’t remember.
