006 Jump!

A lone skateboarder doing his thing on the Venice Beach skate park in LA.  The framing and timing is perfect.  The dedicated practice to be better and better from any athlete is something to be admired.  I love the aesthetics and music around skateboarding and skateboarding culture. I am a useless skateboarder.  I always felt that made me unauthentic. But who is judging?

Made using original photography giclée printed on to Hahnemuhle Daguerre poly-cotton canvas and Awagami Unryu Thin paper assembled on a mounted wooden panel with layers of acrylic paint, spray paint, graph paper, screen printing and 24 carat gold leaf.
