004 Never Alone

I have always loved palm trees. The main image was taken out of the window on a long drive from The Atlas Mountains in Morocco back to Marrakesh in an area called Ferkla El Oulia. The barren red sand  landscape in front of the mountains was mesmerising. This one palm was all alone.  The framed white horse (photographed from a quirky Parisien cafe) adds a friendly partner to the lone tree - a fond memory of better times.

Made using original photography giclée printed on to Hahnemuhle Daguerre poly-cotton canvas and Awagami Unryu Thin paper assembled on a mounted wooden panel with layers of acrylic paint, spray paint, graph paper and 24 carat gold leaf.
